Name: Apollo Cotesworth
Gender: Male
Age: 22
View: Hidden
Species: Pangolin
Description:Apollo is short for being of his age and gender – fitting into the average ‘tall’ range for a female. About 5’ 5’’, he can easily hold a look of being younger than he actually is with a hair style change.
His hair is wheat-blond that can bleach fairly white in the sunlight and is complimented by his lighter sea foam eyes, typical of one bearing Nordic European decent. He keeps his hair short clipped, only a tad longer in front to tickle his forehead and only styled with gel when going down town. Naturally he keeps himself tidied well, but doesn’t see a big fuss when there’s dirt under his nails.
Although already fairly tan, Apollo often seems darker from afar thanks to the large range of freckles that vary across his body. Starting at his jaw line, save for a sea across his nose, he is freckled in a gradient down to his shoulders, shoulder blades being of the darkest freckles. They continue on his arms in the same constant shade, and just dot occasionally on his legs. Amongst the pool of dots on his face, his nose is slightly more prominent than other people’s, creating a long contour for his face.
Acclimated to colder temperatures, Mr. Cotesworth doesn’t have anything greatly suited for sweltering climates. Also, his casual wear isn’t often times that casual. Prone to ‘I feel like being fancy!’ syndrome, Apollo wears a fair amount of sweaters and neatly tailored pants. Lounge wear is not his forte, the ‘sloppiest’ of his closet being a plain cream polo that’s slightly wrinkled. He blames his parents for it, but makes no effort to lower his standards in any case. He also has a long, beige scarf he almost constantly wears in anticipation for cold weather, and when not needed, just for fashion.
When strutting with out clothes (or the less hotter 'short sleeves'), Apollo's left arm, shoulder and torso hold a story of their own. The skin along his arm is marked with many lines of blemish, where his skin was ripped open to rod and repair his arm, which is stiff thanks to these incisions. This elbow is the worst, almost a complete mass of criss cross from where his own bone penetrated, and the scars across his shoulder are where further repairs were made to re-set his broken collar bone. He doesn't enjoy explaining without sitting down and telling the full story, seeing it as a great conversational piece.
When in his animal state, Apollo is a sandy-brown Pangolin. Known for massive plates of scales (reflected as freckles when human) that cover all but under belly and face, Pangolin are nocturnal creatures with long noses. Toothless, he can’t deal much damage save for long claws made for ant-raiding, he can’t offer much protection for himself.
Personality: Apollo isn’t one to be the life of the party, but he isn’t crashing them either. Over all he’s a tad mellow with a level head, with a respect for the calmer things in life. The over energetic can get on his nerves, but the lazy bullocks whom don’t do anything can strike the same anger. Patience is one of his strong points though, and his visible irritation levels may be hard to interpret up until explosion.
He has a preference for softer foods, taken from his animal form. Pangolin’s lack teeth, and Apollo’s are rather soft in mild ‘meeting halfway’. He doesn’t like crunchy items, and cold treats he’s highly sensitive to. This makes him seem rather picky, as he can’t defend himself and just say the truth.
Being an observer, he likes to hang on the low end of situations until he can’t bear it anymore and has to step in himself. With a bit of time he can draw practiced conclusions, making a sturdy voice of reason. However, if it’s something he doesn’t believe in, he won’t make a stand. Apollo frowns upon most ‘foolish’ acts (most defined at the point of time they occur) and prefers logic over baseless ideas.
His prime time of day is after noon, as it’s a perfect time between human and animal preferences. He keeps his shifting ability almost completely hidden, but in rare occasions when needed Apollo will only transform after dark.
Apollo doesn’t care for technology, finding cell phones and things like Facebook a bit degrading for society. He’d much rather talk to someone in person then to send them something digitally. Because of this, his network of friends is small and few, and he often makes many personal visits to them when possible. Telephones are only used at bare minimum if he can avoid it.
History:Apollo’s original lineage can trace back to the first debuts of morphers. On his mothers’s side, his grandparents both came from the war, immigrants that were drafted and used. This gives him a stronger relation to his inner animal, taking on more traits than a usual morpher might. His mother holds no ability though, and neither does his father.
His mother moved back to Europe some time after his grandparents death, where she and his father got married. Apollo’s father works the rails, and thus he has easy access to most of the Nordic, creating a wide area for him to roam. He’s stayed in Europe all of his life, though.
With two unknowing parents, figuring out he was a shifter was rather an accident, and one he kept fairly secret after discovery. Apollo’s father is the only one to currently know, and he wishes for it to be kept from the general public. He’s aware of the trace amounts of Shifters away from America, so he’s rather confident no “normal” people have reason to suspect him.
While traveling, Apollo was involved in a car crash and suffered major damage to his left arm and shoulder. He's weary of road ways now, thanks to this incident.
Weapons and Equipment: He doesn’t see a need to keep a weapon on himself, so if needed he’ll pull out fists. Apollo does however always have an emergency cell phone, without a number that can only access 911.
