.MISTER LAVISH! ---- He really didn't want to admit how stupid it had been for him to put socks on his feet before he left to post up his request for deliveries. True, he didn't like flips flops and the rubbing plastic that aggravated his toes to no end, but from here on out, Lavi was considering making a pact with sandals. This tennis shoes thing was making his feet swelter amongst pooling sweat in the stitches. Tch, gross.
The boy winked his nose at the feeling as he slopped around, fingers curling over the stack of inked papers in his hands. The fresh water whisked moisture on the air, relaxing him slightly as he moved deeper into the thick of people enjoying the moderately cold day.
He had to disagree on that - where he came from 40 degrees was shorts and a tank top.
Ignoring the heat now as he wasn't one to complain (though if this sock issue continued, he would soon be a whiner), Lavi pulled a shining push pin from his pocket, knocking a knuckle on the nearest railing. To his left posters crawled up to the glimmering lamp shade at top, so with a relaxed smile he positioned a hand made poster near the base, beside his hip.
Lavi was rather confident in the large, sharpie words, proclaiming he needed someone to help with moving. The gray eyed boy smiled wildly, pulling his sun glasses down to his nose as the sun took up the previously shaded place amongst his chocolate locks. "That should be good for now!" OOC; Sorry I write everywhere past-tense and current wise. OTL

Taki wandered through the rather bustling city. She was pretty impressed, despite herself. She was from D.C. Yeah, it was busy there, but here everything seemed so... flamboyant. 'Wow... This place is... different... I bet Chester would love it here.' She thought. At seventeen she was still blissfully ignorant of what most of California was famous for these days. She was starting to feel the effects of the heat however. She sighed and then spotted a smoothie store. She also spotted the sign that read WE TAKE MASTERCARD, VISA, and AMERICAN EXPRESS. She grinned and headed for that. Since Paki had eaten the majority of her wallet she relied heavily on credit, though she did feel guilty about making her parents pay such high bills for her.
"Whew. It's pretty warm out there today!" The attendant looked at her as if she were nuts, but took her order all the same. Takira walked out with a coconut/pineapple smoothie, almost purring with delight. It was hard to find pineapple anything in D.C. Forget coconuts. She sighed as she sipped it, sun glasses in place. 'I am gonna burn so bad here...' She thought to herself. She shrugged that thought away and started skipping down the street.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- Sill admiring his work, Lavi tuned into the town around him, moving forward to grip the splintering railing nearest to his side. His sunglasses created the desired shade for his eyes, so with a little melodous tune the teenager leaned into the structure.
Behind him feet cliped and clopped on the walkway, some dapened with the sand that trailed everywhere between the planks (and flip-flop wearers' toes, gosh, he was so onto a consipiracy theory with the foot wear) and the over all moisture that hung in the air from the river. The brunette drank in the scent, satisfying beastly needs.
The scent that mingled with all the sweat and sunscreen fumes was rather alarming though. True, he did have to admit many morphers hung around densely populated areas, but to hold a scent so strong, Lavi figured they must transform more reguarly than the crowd he'd was apart of. He couldn't help but push away from the railing, locking his elbows as he curled long fingernails into the painted timber, exposing his neck as he arched to scope the walk way.
No one seemed out of the ordinary, he realized sadly, and shifted back for the railing. He didn't have that highly trained senses, thanks to limited senses in human form, but he could tell: Predator. Huh. OOC; LAVI LAVI LAVI!

Taki kept skipping, ignoring the foul tempered growl that Paki produced inside her. Nobody else could here it, and sometimes Taki wondered if it wasn't just a piece of her imagination getting loosened too much. She had sipped about half of her strangely concocted smoothie down by the time she reached the walkway, which nearly tripped her as the texture of the ground changed under her battered converse shoes. The reflexes of a wolf kept her from falling on her face or dropping her smoothie, but they didn't keep her from accidentally stumble-crashing into a boy who was leaning against a building. She landed on her rump after that and looked up at him.
"Oops... Sorry! I got surprised by the ground! Are you okay?" She inquired, speaking fast and smiling like she almost always did. It was pretty hard to wipe the smile off of Takis pale and freckled face. Harder still to get her riled into loosing her semi-polite air. It was even harder to intimidate her into backing down, however. Paki, inside of her, growled. This boy was bugging her now.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- 'Close,' he mused as the scents fluctuated, suddenly finding himself also taken with sweet scents of smoothie, which caused him to idly ponder buying himself as a reward for all of poster work he'd being doing all morning. 'Yeah... something-'
He didn't have time to decide before his elbows collapsed, sending him bucking forward over the railing as if suddenly he'd had the urge to vomit. Lavi's hip stung, and with a soft gasp he righted, highly aware of the large thump that occurred after his sudden lurch for the sea. He left his papers on the ledge, twirling on a heel.
Instantly he stuck a hand out, laughing a bit himself as the girl apologized in her odd fashion for colliding into him. "No, it's alright, I'm fine. I've noticed it's a bit mean like that sometimes, too!"
The shifters face twisted slightly at the corners of his lips, faltering only for a few seconds as he addressed her outfit, her looks, the smoothie in her hand. "Oh!" suddenly escaped him and with a loud 'whoops!' he stuffed a hand across his mouth, laughing slightly at his impoliteness. He'd almost said it out loud - this girl had to be other shifter, and now that she was before him, he could almost taste the scent.
He tried not to flinch, retaining a smile behind his hand as he continued to observe. OOC; None.

She grinned and laughed at his comment about the ground being mean. It was totally true! Sometimes it moved for no apparent reason under her feet. She pulled herself back up, ignoring the random sounds that were covered laughter. Paki growled, wanting to hunt this new creature. 'Cool it Paki. He's not hurting you so don't you go and hurt him... He's nice... Or at least... nicer than some people.' The wolf ignored the jab and slid deeper down. If Taki was going to ignore her she'd ignore Taki. Hard as that was.
"So... Anyways... sorry 'bout that... again... My names Takira, what's yours?" Her bright inquiry was just as polite as her apology, and just as loose. She didn't seem to have a care in the world, despite being a continent away from home.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- As the girl giggled away, Lavi relaxed slightly, all signs of displeasure disapearing from his being except for only a tense sag in his shoulders that caused his arm to sit awkwardly at his side.
"Nice to meet you, Takira," he greeted, bowing his head slightly, only for a bit of comical air. He never understood why being a gentleman was always so amusing to most but he answered the rest without missing a beat once he was eye level to her once more. "I'm Lavi."
Before the breeze could tumble his stack away, he scooped up his flyers he'd let sitting on the ledge beside the lamp post, holding them loosely against his chest with a hand as he gestured with the other for her smoothie, "You kind of just gave me craving for one of those right now," the Mink boy informed, attempting to pick up conversation away from the odd forms of 'uhm' and searching she'd had before fishing for his name.
He was curious now, if she could tell that he had the animalistic blood, too. Behind his glasses he silently pondered what exactly she might be, still smiling sincerly without a faulter. 'Nothing too dangerous, I suppose,' he concluded at her airy and uplifting introduction, wondering silently how wrong he could possibly be. OOC; None.

"Oh really?The shop is right over there... they don't cost much... Lavi..." She smiled brightly, totally unaffected by any awkwardness. Then again, her life was generally a mixture of awkwardness that she had learned to handle by ignoring. She felt Paki growled and yank at her insides. 'Uh-oh... Paki... Paki... Behave... Behave... no shifting, no shifting!' Takis attempts at calming the wolf inside failed and Paki burst out with a roar.
Where the short, tubby brown haired girl had stood moments before now stood a blocky, muscular, wolf of brownish coloration. That wolf was mad.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- Lavi blinked, clapping his hands in front of him, excited by this fact. He hadn't spent much time in Sacramento yet - just enough to make it to the board walk and back in most cases. It was a temporary home until he could go up the states to vist his mother again.
"Oh! Thanks, I hadn't noticed it before!" he turned his gaze back, hands still out at his sides in amusement at the little shop. And then he paused, blinking curiously. His gray gaze trickled downward, and he bit the interior of his lip for a moment, taking the creature in. He was flabbergasted for a moment by such a sudden introduction, pleased though on the inside that his hunch was right. "...hm~" he smiled contently, and nodded acceptingly of the girl's shift. However, Lavi wondered for a moment why she suddenly seemed so... mad. OOC;

Paki snarled, lips pulling back from teeth and muzzle wrinkling. He stalked forward, eyes murderously fixed on Lavi. The wolf sensed competition, and the only man it tolerated was Chester and his cheetah self. He barely considered the gawky male competition either. Not like this, this was competition for food, bedding, mates, and everything else. Taki, stuck inside, was pleading with the wolf to behave, but she knew it was no use.
Paki lunged angrily at Lavi, and missed. He crashed into the metal guard rail, denting it. Sirens began to whir far away, making Paki twitch one ear. This fight would have to be quick.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- Instinct kicked in suddenly, and Lavi flexed his fingers, dissipating around the corner of the lamp post are quickly as he could manage. Clothes left in his wake, the thin creature scrambled through the grass, the untamed green perfectly obstructing his eye sight. He squeaked, utterly terrified now. The girl had seemed so content with talking with him, he wasn't sure what could of taken her over. His shifts were always on his own accord...
Gasping as far as his tiny, toothed mouth could manage, Lavi scrambled up the tree, the Mink looking out of place not within his usual watery home. He stopped at the highest branch he could manage without terrifying himself to petrification, letting out a low growl from his animalistic self.

Paki chased after the small mustalid, snapping at it. To the untrained observer he was another stray dog hunting rabbits, or whatever, in the grass. They paid no mind to the purple heart on his face or the fact that he was built far differently from any dog. He crashed into the tree as the Mink made it up, not that that slowed him much. He paced the bottom of it, snarling up. He noted the forked branches 6 feet of the ground. A challange for a human, but he could make it. Backing up Paki made a dash for the tree, jumped, and experienced pain that only a male could know.
Character: Takira Expecting: Lavi Words: 112 Plot: Random Time of day: Mid-morning/early afternoon Notes: Yes Paki is male (and Taki is female), and yes, Paki just slammed his boy-parts into a tree by misjudging a jump... have fun with this.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- Lavi stared down, balancing carefully with nails driven into the hard bark. The tree rattled, splaying leaves onto the ground below. He couldn't help but wince slightly - either way such motions would rather hurt to throw ones self into a tree like that. Taking the motion for a opportunity to get to safer ground, the Mink sprang, landing some feet from the tree. He took off again, heading speedily for the bank.
A few people let out surprised screams and he wound between their feet, but he didn't have time to apologize - how without transforming he didn't know - before throwing himself into the water. Instantly he began to swim on the upper surface, trying to just reach a distance where it wouldn't be easily accessable. He paddled harder for the area that would come up on a less inhabited end of the park that sprawled along the water ways, hoping to take cover up in the tall trees over there once in the clear.
He felt bad for using the wolves misfortune to escape but he was calling that one the dog's own fault. OOC;

Paki was groaning and rolling on the grass in pain. His paws were over his groin in a very human statment of what had just happened to him. He growled softly and let Taki take over, knowing that she wouldn't feel quite as much pain.
"OhmigodIcan'tbelieveyouDIDthatPaki!" were Takis first words, followed by the realization that, girl or no, her groin hurt. She curled up in a little ball, greatful to still have clothing on. Under her breath she muttered a series of insults, curses, and pained whimpers as her body attempted to make the needed quick repairs. She hoped that the boy hadn't taken any hard feelings from Pakis aggression.

.MISTER LAVISH! ---- He couldn't tell if the wolf had followed pursuit anymore over the scent of fresh water, so carefully with flattened slits of ears, he pulled himself out of the water. The gray creature was no where in range, scent still wafting from the place before, but now it was higher concentrated back on the human end he'd been introduced to before. With wide, curious eyes, Lavi made back through the grass, parting it with his lithe, soaking wet body.
The brown creature slowly approached, noting the rather large state of distress the girl was in. He had to suppress a teasing sigh, as it wouldn't be audible anyways with his small lungs, so he came forward to her side, just touching a nose to her knee. He blinked, hoping she was sincerely alright, all memories of the prior instant pushed to the back of his mind. He was forgiving. OOC;
